Summer Virtualsoaring.eu Condor event is over, 12 racing days completed. And here are the winners:
• 1st place for HELMUT KUENNE (F9/Germany) with 5672 points,
• 2nd place for JON HOLLAND (123/United Kingdom) with 5590 points,
• 3rd place for JIRI ADAM (ADX/Czech republic) with 5415 points.

Welcome to next virtual soaring contest website. We have prepared another one - SummerSoaring. Summer time is here - a lot of Condor virtual pilots are enjoying real-life soaring, but maybe some rainy weekends will come in next three months - so we decided to run some "old school" Condor tasks. Tasks that we flyed in previous years on SpeedBattle Cup, 3rd League Server or virtualsoaring.eu contests. So this one is more "good practise" like "serious virtualsoaring.eu contest" - take it as a Condor summer practise with scoring before autumn Condor season... Only one half of all tasks will be counted in overall score, so you can miss 6 flight and still get good points for total ranking. We will fly over several Condor sceneries with several glider classes. No registration for this summer contest is needed. We will race always with PDA allowed, server always start at 21:00 CEST (19:00 UTC).

ScoreBoard
Each race will be scored with ShowCondorIGC and calcutated to 1000 points. IGC/DAeC index will be used for scoring. Overall result is count of best 6 results from total 12 flights (best of 50% results). Results of racing days and also overall score will be posted on this website next day after actuall race is done. Cloud flying will be penalized with 60 penalty points per minute. Outland in task - points for distance, crash and status "Racing" will be scored with zero points.

Contest Rules
General & Prerequisites
Every pilot has to own legal copy of Condor (version 1.1.5). Any modification of the application or any of the aircraft is forbidden and will be penalized by disqualification from the competition. Participation in the contest is free of charge, no registration for this summer contest is needed.
Competition Calendar
The competition starts on June 9, 2012, last competition day is August 25, 2012. Racing day is Saturday. Server always starts at 21:00 CEST (19:00 UTC). The complete competition calendar here.
Used Sceneries
We will used these Condor sceneries: Provence 1.30, New Zealand 0.8, Slovenia HD, Austria SE, Czechoslovakia 2.0, Eastern Alps 2.0, West Swiss 1.0.
Tasks, Classes & Scoring System
The contest will be flown in the following classes: Club, 15 Meter, 18 Meter, Standard, Open. Racing tasks with allowed PDA only. IGC/DAeC index will be used for scoring.

Communication & Disconnections
In case of your internet disconnect you have option to fly task offline. You can send your IGC after finishing task offline via e-mail. Communication between contest organizers and contestants will be an e-mail. For scoring questions and submitting IGC files after disconnection from online server, contact us at competition e-mail address: summer@virtualsoaring.eu.
